| DON'T GET THROWN OVER THE FISCAL CLIFF

Right now, our lawmakers are deciding how to address the deficit. If we don't make some noise and make it soon, federal employees are going to be thrown right over the fiscal cliff.
Time and time again we've seen the jobs and benefits of federal employees sacrificed for the sake of the deficit. In ten years, we've suffered cuts worth more than $100 billion.
Standing on the sidelines won't protect your job and benefits. Calling your lawmakers only takes a few minutes, but we know that it's one of the most effective ways to make sure Congress gets our message.
The facts are crystal clear. If the richest 2% of Americans pay their fair share, the nearly $1 trillion in new revenue will help fund vital services and prevent further cuts to our pay, pension, and jobs. We've sacrificed so much, while millionaires, billionaires, federal contractors, and big corporations have yet to give up a single cent.
But it's not going to happen unless we make it happen. Call your Representative at 1-888-907-5171 and your Senators at 1-888-907-8362 right now and urge them to stand up for federal employees.
Thank you for all that you do to protect workers, and I hope I can count on you to make your calls.
In solidarity,
J. David Cox, Sr.
President, AFGE
